Buying on the Outer Cape of Provincetown, Truro, and Wellfleet in Massachusetts

Summer for most has flown by and sunny skies have been few and far between depending on where you live.  Climates adjust to cycles, and seem to come back to what we think as normal within a few seasons.  As with everything, cycles is the key word here, and we adapt as best possible to new challenges from work, health, family, and in my case all of the above including real estate. We have seen the Dow back to 9000, and the confidence of consumers starting on the upswing slowly, but in a positive direction.

We have been experiencing a quiet market here over the past few months, but activity in the market of interested buyers has been on the rise, especially in the past 10 days.  Recently I read from Real Trends, a recent survey has shown the shift in priority among homebuyers. Pricing is now #1 and has beat out location as the top requirement in the U.S. housing market. This goes along with the point we have illustrated in the last two newsletters that customers are very focused on value and prices, and the old adage of location has taken a distant third in some of the customer’ buying criteria.  Yes, we still have buyers who only want to buy on the water or the West End, etc but based on value and pricing; they are now willing to consider alternatives not considered in the past.

.  And by the way, if you know anyone looking to buy or sell here on the outer cape, and they are not working with a realtor, please have them call me on my cell at 203-858-8940.  I would like to be their agent and assist them in locating a property that fits their search criteria.  I have built my business on referrals, and would enjoy the opportunity to help fine tune their buying or selling needs.
